FROM HISTORY: PLANE HIJACK IN NEPAL

  Jestha 28, 2079 | June 11, 2022 वि सं २०३० सालमा आजकै दिन जेठ २८ गते नेपाल वायुसेवा निगमको विमान अपहरणमा परेको थियो । विराटनगरबाट काठमाडौं जान लागेको विमान अपहरण गर्ने आदेश गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइराला र विपी कोइरालाको थियो । अपहरणको उद्देश्य भनेको सो विमानमा काठमाडौंस्थित राष्ट्र बैंकमा जम्मा गर्न लैजान लागिएको ३० लाख भारु पैसा लुट्नु थियो । विहान ८:१५ मा विराटनगरबाट १४ जना यात्रु बोकेर उडेको विमान ८:४५ मा विराटनगरबाट ३० किमी दक्षिण भारतको फराबिसगञ्जमा लगिएको थियो । त्यहाँ पैसाको बाकस झारेपछि विमानलाई फेरि सकुशल विराटनगरतर्फ नै पठाइएको थियो । त्यसबेला नेपालमा पञ्चायती शासन थियो र त्यसको विरुद्धमा काँग्रेसले क्रान्ति गरिरहेको थियो । सोही क्रान्तिका लागि आर्थिक व्यवस्था मिलाउन यस अपहरण रचिएको थियो । [This article has been cited from one of the hijackers Durga Subedi's book विमान विद्रोह] Published by Prateek Bhatta for Citizen News Square

Great Britain (England) is also known as the birthplace of Cricket.
