'Rise N Shine' of Nepali Cricket

Sportify/ Earlier in Part 1, we paused at the stage when the  international journey of Nepali Cricket had just began. The journey started as Nepal participated in an international event held in Malaysia. During that time, Tundikhel and  Sano Gaucharan were the only two venues where Nepalese Cricketers used to play. Later, after getting the membership of ICC, the TU Cricket Ground was developed in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. It is the same venue where Nepal hosted the 2nd ACC Trophy. Nepal played the First Class Cricket in 2004. The ACC Trophy of 2006 is one of the memorable tournaments for Nepali Cricket. Nepal bowled out Myanmar for just 10 runs. Since then, the biggest cricketing nations also started to keep their eyes on Nepali Cricket. The Rana Regime and Nepali Cricket

Sportify/ During the time when Nepal used to be ruled by the Ranas, the Royal Children were used to going The Great Britain for their Education. Great Britain (England) is also known as the birthplace of Cricket. Cricket was very popular in England.  The British people used to play cricket whereas the Nepalese Rana's children used to watch them play. In 1920, the Ranas returned  from Britain after the completion of their study and the Cricket entered into Nepal for the first time. General Brum Shumsher & General  Narad shumsher's team Babarmahal and jawalakhel have reported as the first ever cricket teams of Nepal.  Since Cricket had become popular in India as well, Nepal was also seeking the same popularity.  After a few years, the nepali cricket team have been reported playing in Patna, India under the captaincy of Narad shumsher.
